The International Journal of Agricultural Research and Multidisciplinary Research Trends (IJARMRT) understands that artificial intelligence (AI) tools are increasingly being used in academic research, writing, language improvement, data analysis and other scholarly work. The journal allows the use of AI-assisted tools where appropriate; however, authors remain completely responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, ethical compliance and accountability of their submitted manuscripts. AI tools cannot take the place of the contribution, responsibility or authorship of human researchers.

AI Content Policy
1. Disclosure of AI Use
Authors need to disclose if they used artificial intelligence or AI-assisted tools at any stage of preparing their manuscript. This includes, but is not limited to:
- AI-generated or AI-assisted text
- AI-assisted language editing or translation
- AI-generated or AI-assisted images, figures, tables or graphs
- AI-assisted data analysis or interpretation
- AI-assisted coding or computational work
- AI tools used for summarization or other significant parts of the manuscript
The disclosure must clearly state what kind of AI assistance was used and for what purpose. Failure to disclose material AI use may be considered a violation of publication ethics.
2. AI Cannot Be Listed as an Author
AI tools, artificial intelligence systems, software or other non-human technologies cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of a manuscript. Authorship is reserved for individuals who have made substantive intellectual contributions to the research, and every listed author must be accountable for their part in the work.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring the manuscript accurately reflects the contributions of all authors and that any relevant AI assistance has been properly disclosed.
3. Author Responsibility and Accountability
Using AI does not transfer responsibility for a manuscript to the AI tool, software provider, publisher, editor or journal. Authors remain fully responsible for the submitted work, including:
- Accuracy of facts
- Originality of the manuscript
- Accuracy of citations and references
- Research methodology
- Data quality and interpretation of results
- Ethical compliance
- Proper credit to sources
- Any AI-assisted content in the manuscript
Authors must verify that all AI-assisted outputs are correct before submission. AI-generated information can contain mistakes, false statements, fabricated references or bias — authors are responsible for identifying and correcting these before the manuscript is sent.
4. Prohibited Use of AI
AI tools must not be used in ways that harm research integrity or publication ethics. Authors must not use AI tools to:
- Fabricate research data
- Misrepresent research results
- Create fictitious experiments
- Fabricate references or citations
- Generate plagiarized or stolen content
- Misrepresent AI-generated work as original research
- Conceal research practices
- Breach privacy or confidentiality rules, or fabricate research evidence
Any AI-assisted output must be checked and properly verified by the authors.
5. AI-Generated Images, Figures, Tables and Graphs
Authors must disclose when AI tools were used to create or modify images, figures, tables, graphs or other visual materials, where relevant. AI-generated or AI-altered visual material must never be presented in a way that misrepresents research evidence or results.
Authors are responsible for ensuring all visual material is accurate, relevant, properly cited where needed and appropriately labelled.
6. AI-Assisted Translation and Language Editing
Authors may use AI-assisted tools for language translation, grammar correction or improving readability. Before submission, authors must check the final manuscript to ensure:
- The correct scientific meaning is preserved
- Technical terminology is accurate
- Translations are appropriate and contextually correct
- No incorrect information has been introduced
- Citations and references remain correct
Using an AI language tool does not relieve the author of responsibility for the manuscript.
7. AI-Assisted Data Analysis
AI-assisted software or tools may be used for data analysis where appropriate for the research methodology. Authors must ensure that:
- The method is appropriate for the research
- Data has not been fabricated or improperly altered
- The analysis can be scientifically justified
- AI-assisted analysis does not replace proper scientific checks
- The use of AI is disclosed where required
Authors should provide sufficient methodological detail so the research can be properly verified.
8. Verification of AI-Assisted Content
Authors are responsible for verifying all AI-assisted content before submission, with special attention to:
- Factual accuracy and statistics
- References and citations
- Research results
- Technical terminology
- Bias
- Copyright and intellectual property issues
The journal does not consider the use of an AI tool to be a guarantee that the information it produces is accurate or trustworthy.
9. Plagiarism and Originality
Using AI-assisted writing does not exempt authors from the journal's rules on originality and plagiarism. Authors must ensure the submitted manuscript is original and properly credits the work of others.
AI-generated content that closely mirrors or reproduces something already published without proper credit can constitute plagiarism or a copyright issue. Authors must follow the journal's plagiarism and ethics policies at all times.
10. Confidentiality
Authors, reviewers and editors must exercise caution when using AI tools in connection with confidential or unpublished research. Confidential manuscripts, data, personal information, reviewer comments or other protected information must not be entered into an external AI system where doing so would breach privacy or journal rules.
Reviewers must not input manuscripts or research into AI tools for evaluation without the appropriate permission.
11. Editorial and Peer-Review Considerations
The journal may take the use of AI into account when evaluating a manuscript, particularly where AI was used in the research methods, data analysis, visual materials or substantial parts of the writing. Editors may request information about AI use from authors where needed to assess research quality or ethics.
Disclosing AI use does not, by itself, determine whether a manuscript is accepted or rejected.
12. Responsibility of the Publisher and Editors
The publisher and editors are not responsible for factual errors, fabricated references, incorrect conclusions or other issues that arise from an author's use of AI tools. Responsibility for published content remains with the authors.
Editors may investigate any misuse of AI in accordance with the journal's ethics policies.
Violation and Disciplinary Policy
IJARMRT expects all authors to use AI tools transparently. If an author is found to have breached this policy, the journal may take action depending on the severity of the violation and the circumstances involved.
1. Manuscript Rejection or Withdrawal
A manuscript with undisclosed or improper AI use may be rejected during editing or peer review. If significant problems are discovered after publication, the article may be corrected, retracted, or otherwise addressed.
2. Author Suspension
Where there are ethical concerns, the journal may suspend an author from submitting new manuscripts to IJARMRT for a period of time. The duration and scope of the restriction depend on the circumstances.
3. Further Investigation
Where needed, the editorial team may investigate concerns about research or publishing practices and may request an explanation or additional information from the authors.
4. Repeated or Serious Violations
Repeated or serious breaches of the journal's ethics policy may lead to stronger action, including a future ban on submissions. Any action taken will be proportionate to the severity of the violation.
Important Notice to Authors
Using AI tools does not automatically make a manuscript unacceptable. IJARMRT supports the open and ethical use of technology in academic research — provided that authors:
Stay in Control
Authors remain in charge of their research at every stage.
Disclose AI Use
Say clearly when and how AI was used in the manuscript.
Verify AI Output
Check every AI-generated statement, figure and reference.
Protect Confidentiality
Keep unpublished research and data secure at all times.
Never Fabricate
Do not fabricate or alter research using AI tools.
Ensure Human Authorship
Make sure every authorship claim reflects genuine human work.
Final Statement
The International Journal of Agricultural Research and Multidisciplinary Research Trends (IJARMRT) is committed to upholding sound academic publishing practices while allowing for the responsible use of new technology.
Authors are encouraged to use AI tools ethically, while remaining fully in charge of their research and manuscripts at every stage.
